LAHORE: Pacer Ihsanullah is confident that Pakistan will claim a one-sided win against India on October 14 in the all-important game of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium.
The 21-year-old is away from cricket due to elbow surgery and recently underwent surgery. His rehabilitation will start soon.
"I want to say that play with passion, the result will be good, my prediction is that Pakistan will win the match against India one-sidedly," Ihsanullah said.
"I am happy that Pakistan bagged a record-breaking win against Sri Lanka. They have beaten Netherlands and now we will beat India too," he added.
Regarding the current fast bowling performance, Ihsanullah said, "Sometimes a bad day comes but it passes. Our bowlers are big match players."
Ihsanullah is confident of making a comeback soon in cricket. "I am missing the World Cup but can't do anything. I will come stronger and try not to play away leagues as my focus is to play for Pakistan only," he concluded.
It must be noted that Ihsanullah suffered an elbow injury and has been ruled out from international cricket since playing for Pakistan in the ODI series against New Zealand at home this year in April.
The right-arm pacer had to undergo surgery in a private hospital in Lahore. A doctor was flown in from England to operate Ihsanullah in the first week of September to operate Ihsanullah in the first week of September.
After the operation, he was placed in an elbow brace for four weeks, with a doctor and physio attending him on a daily basis.
PCB stated his condition is satisfactory and the brace will be removed at the end of the fifth week. Afterwards, he will proceed with rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
